Arianit Buqinca, since 2016, is a full-time scientific researcher (Prof. ass.) at the Institute of Albanology – Prishtina, on the department of History in Ancient History; since 2015, at the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina” on the Department of Archaeology; and since 7.7.2021, he is also a member of the Kosova Council for Cultural Heritage’s directing board. His doctorate in Language, History and Ancient Civilizations was awarded in France by the University of Lyon. He earned a master’s degree in Archaeology, Art History, and Ancient History from the “Lumière Lyon 2” University in Lyon, France, and a bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Prishtina. In collaboration with the Institute of Archaeology of Albania and the Institute of Archaeology of Kosovo, he has participated in international teams of archaeological research since 2007 in Ulpiana, Kasterc, Vucak, and Harilaq in Kosovo; Butrint and Apolonia of Illyria in Albania; and in numerous other field surveys. He has recently published a monograph titled “Research on the Dardanians VI B.C.” within the Institute of Albanology, as well as numerous scientific articles. He is engaged in Ancient History, Archaeology, and Epigraphy-related projects.
